Sponge Radio

Sponge radio is an arduino based radio that its channels can be changed by squeezing the sponge. Genres of the radio channels are categorised by the shape of the sponge objects as it can be seen above.

It speculatively offers an alternative interaction for users rather than a solid button or a mouse click which we are normally used to. Relaxing effect of squeezing and conceptualised shapes of different music genres are aimed to create synaesthesia-like effect with the music.

A multi-sensory experience enables people to visualise their preferences over music genres.
